Ans:

Well, David Beckham is my favourite public figure. He is best known for his great achievement on football. As one of the best midfielders in the world, his career started from Manchester United, and then to Real Madrid in Spain; he also played in France and the US football clubs and culminated countless trophies. Apart from a successful footballer, he also did lots of commercial, film shootings and charity campaigns, which made him one of the richest athletes in the world.

To me, he is not just a model athlete, he is a “phenomenon”; I mean, his haircut, dressing style, or even his tattoo have all become a trend which impact the whole generation. I think he has been famous worldwide since his first debut in the World Cup (loads of Taiwanese people knew him ever since), although he is nearly a middle-age guy, he is definitely one of the most influential figures in the history of sports and the legend goes on.
